We are pleased to draw your attention to the upcoming Innovation Booster on the theme of Return to Play.
Concussions are a significant challenge in both amateur and elite sports. Although various best practices for diagnosis and treatment have been documented, there is still a gap in standardized protocols for assessing athletes’ readiness to return to sport.
The Challenge “Return to Play” aims to tackle this issue by addressing the following questions:
- How can we support medical professionals in better assessing the right time for players, who have suffered concussions, to return to their sport?
- Which solutions would enable stimulating, testing, measuring and supporting athletes’ progress to prevent a premature return to play?
- Finally, can we define a protocol that is easy to use and define a methodology?
If you have a stake or expertise in this field, join a full-day ideation session on 27 March in Lausanne or Sion (Switzerland) to kick off this project.
Athletes, coaches, and sports physicians from various sectors and backgrounds will participate in this session.
The focus will be on brainstorming and developing innovative ideas to address the challenge, leveraging the diversity of expertise within the group.
