Five years after launching, the online consultation platform ‘Soignez-moi’ has failed to sustain its business model.
On paper, the service had everything going for it. For 59 Swiss francs, patients could get an online medical platform, a consultation with a doctor, a prescription, a report for themselves and their GP, a medical certificate if required, and a 48-hour follow-up on their symptoms. All of this is reimbursed by all health insurance companies.
Despite partnerships with well-known institutions such as Ensemble Hospitalier de la Côte, Réseau Delta, Medbase Romandie, Hôpital de la Tour, Hôpital de Bienne, Hôpital Ophtalmique and Groupe Mutuel, the Vevey-based start-up has struggled to make a name for itself. The company has been unable to cross the threshold of between 20 and 30 consultations per day.
As a means of survival, the company makes a final call to investors and potential partners, failing which it will close its doors on 31 January 2025.
